Medal Award Function

Army Institute of Management Kolkata (AIMK) to host its prestigious 21st Medal Award Function (MAF), celebrating the academic excellence and achievement of MBA--24 Batch students. The MAF is a time-honored tradition celebrating the academic accomplishments of its graduating students. The event took place on 9th April, 2024 at AIMK Rajarhat, commencing at 10AM onwards.

The Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (Formerly, National Institute of Management Calcutta) was established on 28 July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi, to conduct state-of-art Management Programme for the wards of Army personnel (80% seats reserved) with an opportunity for the general candidates (20% seats reserved) as well. This year marks the introduction of seat reservation for the wards of Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. AIM Kolkata which was earlier located at Alipore (near Command Hospital, Eastern Command), shifted to a state of the art, brand new campus at New Town, Rajarhat Kolkata on 27 May 2021.

This year's Medal Award Function marks a significant milestone for the students of MBA-24 Batch who have dedicated themselves to two years of hard work, dedication, and academic pursuit. The ceremony will serve as a poignant reminder of their achievements and the journey they have undertaken to reach this pivotal moment in their lives.

Distinguished guests, faculty members, proud families, and friends gathered to witness the conferral of degrees upon the graduating class of MBA-24 batch. The ceremony featured esteemed guests of honors including like Mr. Sanjeev Sanyal, Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the PM and Lt Gen RC Srikanth, VSM, COS HQ Eastern Command, who shared their words of wisdom and inspiration to the graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. The ceremony was also graced by the Director, Brigadier, (Dr.) Sujay Ranjan Chaudhuri (Retd) who set the motion with his inaugural address.

In addition to the conferral of degrees, the ceremony included special awards and recognitions honoring students for their outstanding academic performance, leadership, and contributions to the college community.

These awards are given to the brightest students from each graduating class, and the following individuals were honored with this distinction

MBA 24:

• All Round Best Student (COAS All Round Best Student Rolling Trophy) - Ms Sonam
• First in Academics (Saheed L/Nk Albert Ekka, PVC, Gold Medal) - Ms Pampi Bhattacharyya
• Second in Academics (Saheed Ptr Sanjog Chetri, AC, Silver Medal) - Ms Meghashree Chatterjee
• Third in Academics (Saheed Sub Netra Bahadur Thapa, VC, Bronze Medal) - Mr Sital Kant Sharma
• Best Performance in Marketing (Army Commander’s Incentive Award) - Ms Meghashree Chatterjee
• Best Performance in Finance (Army Commander’s Incentive Award) - Ms Troyee Basu
• Best Performance in HR (Army Commander’s Incentive Award) - Ms Sonam

On the auspicious day of the Graduation Ceremony 2023, we had the honor of conferring our awards to our graduating students by our esteemed guests - Lt Gen Rana Pratap Kalita, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command; Maj Gen V S Ranade, Director of Army Institute of Management Kolkata, and Mr. Subir Chakraborty, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Exide Industries Limited.

This Graduation Day is not just the culmination of college life, but also the beginning of a rewarding journey ahead. We celebrate the hard work and resilience of our students, teachers, and families in helping the graduates reach their highest potential. We are confident that they will embark on the path of success and make their mark in the world.

Army Institute of Management Kolkata organized its 20th Medal Award Function for the passing-out students of MBA-21,22, and 23 batches on 25th February 2023 at the Tagore Auditorium, AIM, Kolkata.

The 20th Graduation Ceremony was inaugurated by Lt Gen Rana Pratap Kalita, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, Maj Gen V S Ranade, Director of Army Institute of Management Kolkata, and Mr. Subir Chakraborty, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Exide Industries Limited, being the Chief Guests of the function. Medals were awarded by the Chief Guests to students for their outstanding performances.

These awards are given to the brightest students from each graduating class, and the following individuals were honored with this distinction:

• Best in Marketing: Mr. Saleem Khan
• Best in Human Resources: Ms. Priti

MBA- 22:

• Best in Finance: Ms. Arya Hari Kumar
• Best in Marketing: Mr. Himadri Sasmal
• Best in Human Resources: Ms. Priyanka Mishra
