Library is a centre of learning within the campus as it encourages students to have healthy discussions as also solitary reading. Over the years, AIMK has developed its library as an outstanding learning resource centre, catering to the ever-growing and uncompromising information and intellectual requirements of students and faculty. It has a rich collection of print and digital resources in terms of quality and quantity. The air-conditioned library is built over an area of 2,000 sq.ft. and it has a seating capacity of 66 students. The library is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, providing seamless internet connectivity to support all academic needs. Students are offered all-round support throughout the year for their academic and professional development. It also organises interesting book-related events with the objective to create new interests among students.

AIMK Library boasts of a collection of more than 13,500 books on all branches of management along with Economics, Quantitative Techniques, Social Sciences, Business Law, etc. It also has a curated section of non-text books to enhance the inter-disciplinary character of the collection. A unique facility (Book Bank) is available in which a set of course books is issued to students for the entire semester. An extension of the library is set up in the students’ hostel that has primarily a collection of fiction to encourage leisure reading.

The library subscribes to a good number of journals, magazines, and daily newspapers. All current issues of them are displayed in the Reading Room. It subscribes to 27 reputed foreign and national periodicals and newspapers in print form. 

In addition to print material, a large collection of e-journals and e-books make up its collection of electronic resources. A reputed database of e-journal viz., ‘EBSCO Business Source Elite’, which contains full-text coverage for more than 1,000 peer-reviewed foreign and national journals, is available in the library and accessible on the Internet. The library also subscribes access to more than 12,000 e-books through the package ‘EBSCOHOST – eBook Business Core Collection’. 

The library uses advanced technology to smoothen circulation and cataloguing services. The entire library operation is computerized with the help of ‘LibSys’, an integrated library management software, which enables the library to serve its clientele in a better, faster and more efficient manner. Students can also access the web at the library, while search for books and journals is made easy through open access catalogue. Reprographic facilities can be conveniently availed of at the library.

AIMK is an institutional member of British Council Library, Kolkata. Students can avail this facility to use this learning resource centre.
